A Patron Who Chooses to Serve

Although Dr. Dwumfour serves as a Patron of AFEPAS, his commitment goes beyond the traditional role of a Patron. He has also opted to serve as a member of the Technical/Consultancy Committee, making his professional knowledge, experience and networks available to the Association.

His decision reflects the spirit of service upon which AFEPAS is being built. After his service at the EPA, Dr. Dwumfour went on to work with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and later the World Bank. His experience therefore provides an important resource for the Association as it develops its technical and consultancy activities.

Dr. Dwumfour Reaffirms His Commitment

Dr. Dwumfour warmly welcomed members and thanked them for honouring his invitation. He recalled that when Ms. Helen Asiamah informed him about the AFEPAS initiative, he immediately embraced the idea and decided to become part of it.

He described AFEPAS as a wonderful initiative and affirmed his intention to remain part of the Association for life. He commended the Executive Committee for its leadership and encouraged members to concentrate on building AFEPAS as one family.

He also pledged to work with fellow Patrons to help bridge the relationship between current and former EPA staff, creating opportunities for interaction, knowledge-sharing and collaboration.

President's Message of Appreciation

President Mr. Ebenezer Appah-Sampong, who was unable to attend, sent a message to Dr. Dwumfour. The message was read on his behalf by Vice President Mr. Emmanuel Appoh.

In the message, the President expressed sincere gratitude for Dr. Dwumfour's immense financial and technical support, describing him as an accessible and dependable Patron whose thoughts, ideas, experience and guidance are freely shared with AFEPAS.

He prayed that God would richly bless, strengthen and reward Dr. Dwumfour for his generosity and dedication.
